Green Home Grants

The UK has renewed its commitment to climate change in 2019 and Britain’s obligation to reduce carbon emissions means that you can benefit from free funding to improve your home. The Government launched a scheme via OFGEM and selected utility companies that assist households to pay for home improvements that may help houses to be more efficient; reducing monthly bills and helping to save the planet! You don’t have to be in receipt of any benefits to apply for grant funding. If your household net income (not including income tax and/or rent/mortgage and/or bills) is £36,000 or less you could benefit from funding for home improvements that will upgrade your home AND may also reduce your utility bills! Apply now! find out if you are eligible for a non-repayable grant with zero upfront costs.

Save on external wall insulation with the Green Homes Grant

The new ‘Green Homes Grant’ is a £2 billion fund which will give homeowners the opportunity to upgrade the energy efficiency of their homes with help from the government. Successful applicants to the scheme will receive up to two thirds of the cost of approved renovations, capped at a maximum of £5,000. For low income households, up to 100% of the cost of the works will be covered, up to a maximum of £10,000.

All installers and tradespeople who carry out any works under the grant scheme must be TrustMark approved, which will give homeowners the peace of mind of knowing that the renovations are being carried out by a qualified tradesperson. If you’re thinking of applying for the grant you’ll need to have a quotation from a TrustMark registered contractor before you start your applicationWe’re here to help – fill out the form at the bottom of this page and one of our team will be in touch as soon as possible to answer your questions or put you in contact with a TrustMark registered applicator.

Why Choose External Wall Insulation

With external wall insulation systems you not only reduce the amount of heat lost through your walls, but you also get a brand new façade to update the exterior of your home. Did you know that around 33% of heat is lost through uninsulated solid walls? Our EWI systems dramatically reduce the amount of heat loss in your home, saving you money on your energy bills and reducing your carbon footprint.

What Are The Benefits?

If you have one of the 8.5 million homes in the UK that is rated as ‘hard to treat’, the usual methods of retroactively insulating may not be open to you. But there’s more to EWI than just lower energy bills and a more eco-friendly home. Between a more comfortable indoor temperature and a chance to refresh the look of your home, there are many reasons to choose EWI.

How Does It Work?

An external wall insulation system is attached to the outside of your home and is built up in several layers including an insulation board and an adhesive render coat. Each system will be designed to fit the requirements of the project, and there are plenty of choices when it comes to colours and finishes for the final look – you can even go for a brick effect!
